WOMEN'S WORLD RECORD MARLIN
Spearfishing at Palapas Ventana with a Humanitarian non-profit named Diving for a Cause. The President ,Colleen Gallager, spears a World Record Marlin! Colleen faces the challenge of shooting a Marlin and a long fight to surface the fish. All of the fish was donated to an Orphanage in La Paz Mexico. During our stay we crewed construction a project at a local school and snorkeled with kids from the orphanage. It is truly amazing being able to do what you love and give back to others! Spearfishing is a selective hunting process- we only hunt what we can eat.

100' Vis at San Clemente
We spent the weekend looking for White Seabass at the Channel Islands. Unfortunately, the conditions were less than ideal for Seabass. The water temperatures were lower than what we hoped for and the kelp was nonexistent at our primary destination. The visibility, however, was a stunning 100' with a magnificent royal blue glow. We enjoyed exploring the reef structures and taking enough fish to eat on the boat. It wasn't until we returned to the California Coastline that we discovered 60+ lb White Seabass looming beneath the shade of a kelp canopy...that's a story for another day.

You will enjoy seeing my friends Tom Fiene, Joe Sarapochillo, Barry Krupp, and I spear some HUGE yellowfin tuna up to 190 pounds, Sailfish up to 115 pounds, massive rooster fish, amberjack and more.
