The shell is constructed from rugged moulded plastic with a high density foam core.
The foam core prevents the float from collapsing at depth should a large fish tow it underwater, thus offering a reliable system for trophy hunting. The plastic shell is far more durable than the previous vinyl model, and stands up to the violent abuse that some fish (and divers) subject to the gear.
The "Rob Allen Flag and Weight Kit" sold seperately. This kit allows the float to be weighted with a flag attachment on the surface side, giving the diver the added option of being able to use a "diver down" flag on the float itself. The weight distribution of the float ensures that the flag is always upright in the water, thus ensuring maximum visibilty for the skippers of passing boats.
