The PLATINUM 160 is offer continuous tapered balance wings from front to rear for maximum stability & highest accuracy. The balance wings are ballasted teakwood with a dark stain for beauty and contrast. They are designed to move easily through the water and guide your speargun while tracking the fish . Balance wings add mass to decrease vertical and horizontal recoil, in return, increasing accuracy.
The PLATINUM 160 is 64 inches to give you a greater reach and more power. The PLATINUM 160 speargun has 4 power bands, making it more powerful to spear bigger and faster fish.
The PLATINUM 160 speargun also features mid-handle placement which brings the speargun closer to the body and improves maneuverability. The mid-handle is also for hip loading leverage. As you pull the power bands back, the butt extension makes it easy to rest the butt of the speargun on your hip without the handle getting in your way.The shaft & mechanism sit further back on the PLATINUM 160 to increase band pull and increase power.
The spear track is recessed into the stock to guide the spear accurately down the barrel. The groove is durable and an excellent design feature compared to eye hole spear tracks which break easily and reduce accuracy.
The PLATINUM 160 speargun uses a larger diameter spear. The spear is more durable, resisting damage from the fish bending it, or direct impact from hitting rocks.
